Intermediate Open Water Swim Clinic – Hermanus

Join me on the 29th of January 2023, for an open water training clinic at the New Harbour in Hermanus. In this 5 hour workshop, I’ll be teaching my fundamental open water techniques for you to elevate your swimming skills.

My open water experience comes from competing for South Africa for the last 11 years where I’ve been 17x National Open Water Champion, crossed the English Channel in the fastest South African female time, competed at the last two Olympic Games, won the Junior World Championships, won 3 Midmar Miles and currently hold the fastest female time for Robben Island in a wetsuit.

On the day, we’ll be covering drafting, sighting, turning around buoys, over-taking and the best stroke for open water swimming. The days program will run as follows:

1. Open Water Techniques and Training

2. Shoulder Rehab and Recovery

3. A 1.6km Training Swim 

4. Ended of with a Q&A, light lunch and social
