Robben Island Swim Clinic

The ROBBEN ISLAND SWIM CLINIC is for any swimmer who has aspirations to complete the 7.5km ocean swim from Robben Island to Big Bay. In this clinic, I’ll be covering open water training, how to acclimatize for cold water, the correct nutrition and feeding for event day and what is the best training to complete the swim.

On the day there will also be a training swim where I’ll be giving pointers on how to improve your overall open water swimming technique. My experience comes from holder the fastest female Robben Island crossing time.

We will continue to end off the day plenty of Q&A’s as well as a light lunch where each swimmer will receive an entry pack which includes a free swim cap and discount codes from Arena and Maurten’s online stores.
