My #1 Swim Set to Build Endurance: post festive season

With 2021 upon us, I’ve lined up a couple of pick-me-up sessions to get my fitness back to where it was before 2020’s festivities. While having down time with the family is amazing and undoubtably needed, the lousy part is always trying to get my fitness back to where it was.

One of the sets I do comprises of short rest, speed and hypoxic work to really get the heart-rate up and maintain it there.

400 breathing every 3 strokes – rest 15’’

4×50 fast – rest 10’’

2×200 breathing every 5 strokes – rest 10’’

4×50 fast – rest 10’’

4×100 breathing every 7 strokes – rest 5 seconds

4×50 fast – rest 10’’
